1st Half-marathon

Every year there is the "Stuttgarter Zeitungslauf" in Stuttgart, with the 10K and the Half-marathon as well as mini-marathons for kids and kids with inline skates.

I went for sign in the day before the half-marathon. Sean and me got only like 4 hours of sleep the night before the run because he had to work and I was babysitting.
As for me me I can say that I was really nervous and excited to go to the run. I now that I did not train enough for this but my goal was that I will enjoy the run and see the views and try to finish it no matter how long it takes.

Sean did finish in 1:46 h, it took a little longer with me. I finished my run with 2:45:09 and my legs did feel like stones. I was happy and exhausted and my emotion swapped over me at the finish line :-)

I will start a training for about 10 weeks to get ready for the Half-marathon in Dresden in October (and there will be my family to support me on the road)....

For the both of us - it was the first half-marathon we ever run and we are very proud!!!

We are all "finisher" - proud and exhausted :-)

Me and my medal - I am not sure if you can see it but my fingers got swollen so bad that my finger with my wedding ring really hurt.

Sean & Moulay - he is his running buddy.
