Life changing surgery

A Low-Fat Diet for me :-)

After eating an enchilada at a Mexican Restaurant and some Ice-cream for dessert I start having that awful pain (like burning) in my stomach. I had it a couple times before - thinking I had some acid trouble in my stomach. Usually the pain used to go away after like 30 - 60 minutes. But this time it was there for about 7 hours before I decided to drive myself to the ER. So I arrived at the ER around 2:30 am. At about 10:00 am I was told that I have a gallbladder stone and I should get surgery right away. At 2:00 pm I finally got my own room at the Hospital. Later that night at around 10:00 pm I went into surgery. Waking up after midnight with some pain (which is normal) and went back to sleep.

The most shocking thing for me was that not even after 24 hours of my surgery they discharged me and let me go home. Now - I am maybe very spoiled in Germany but even having a small surgery like the gallbladder removal like I had - you would have stayed at the Hospital for at least 4-10 days for recovery. So the first couple days after surgery I had trouble breathing, was in pain and could not keep food in my stomach.
After a week I felt much better and I am doing good on my road of recovery. Thanks for all the prayers and support and the kind words.

Now it has been almost 2 weeks since I had my surgery and I am doing great. My scars are healing and I am eating differently. My Doc told me I have to have a Low-Fat Diet since I don't have a gallbladder no more. Now there is no more excuses for eating bad food for me :-)
